'Made for More' Josh Baldwin Live Red Rocks Performance

Don’t miss this incredible ‘Made for More’ moment as Josh Baldwin left it all on the stage live at the Red Rocks Performance. There’s something about Red Rocks Amphitheater that feels like heaven leans a little closer to earth—the way the red stones rise like open hands in worship, the sky stretching wide above you, the music echoing into places you didn’t even know were aching.

But if you think the Red Rocks park is just a great Amphitheatre, you’re truly missing out. It is the only naturally occurring geological phenomenon for acoustics in the world. From The Beatles to Brandon Lake, it’s truly a place of wonder whose chorus echoes into the world around it. I find myself dreaming of being there one day, letting that kind of worship wash over me in person. But for now, this viral video—already reaching more than 166,427 hearts—feels like an invitation right where you are

Josh Baldwin's Red Rocks is a Powerful Performance

And as this powerful performance of “Made for More” filled that sacred space, it didn’t just sound beautiful—it felt like truth wrapping itself around every weary heart listening. Because haven’t we all had seasons where we forgot who we were?

And yet the lyrics remind us, like a gentle but firm whisper from God Himself: “I know who I am ’cause I know who You are… I was called by name… I was made for more.” Friend, that’s not just a song—it’s a calling. It’s a reminder that you were never meant to stay buried in shame or stuck in yesterday’s pain. No, you were raised back to life again, chosen, free, and deeply loved.

And oh, can you imagine sitting there in those stone-carved seats, the Colorado air brushing against your skin, voices rising together in hallelujah—how peace might settle into your bones, how your heart might finally exhale?

So watch it while you can, let it play a little louder than your doubts, and remind your soul of what’s always been true: you are His, and you were made for so much more.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

MercyMe Powerful 'Make It Well' Grand Ole Opry Live Performance

Check out this MercyMe "Make It Well" live performance at the Grand Ole Opry. This song gives language to those seasons when our hearts are heavy, and praise doesn’t always come easily. It reminds us that we can trust that God is still at work, even in the silence.

‘Make it well with my soul, don't let me face this loneliness alone
Make it well with my soul, I need a peace that only heaven knows
Jesus could you please, just sit and cry with me
'Till I can sing, 'till I can sing’

“Make it Well” Was Inspired by “It is Well With My Soul”

“Make It Well” was inspired by the classic hymn "It Is Well With My Soul," and MercyMe frontman Bart Millard shared more about the message behind his song in a recent interview.

“When I had the idea for ‘Make It Well’, it came from wrestling with the hymn ‘It Is Well’ that I’ve sung all my life for funerals and stuff like that. It’s always during tragic times. And I realized during those difficult moments that I’m kind of lying when I say ‘It is well with my soul’ cause normally it is not well with my soul. The harder the times get, the harder it is to sing that song.”

Bart continued: “So I kept thinking if I were to write this, I would make it into ‘Make It Well’ because I’m not getting through this without the help of the Holy Spirit. I think there are people in the middle of the struggle, if they think about it, it’s tough to sing that it’s all good, it’s fine, it’s well with my soul and it really isn’t when you’re in the middle of it. And so this one goes out to all those like me that are in the middle of the struggle just trying to get by.”

We hope you were encouraged by this MercyMe "Make It Well" live performance at the Grand Ole Opry. May this song be a reminder that in our pain and loneliness, we can bring our hurt directly to Jesus. Instead of confidently declaring “It is well,” we can ask God to make it well.

'Victory in Jesus' Hymn Gets a Rocking Cover

The beloved hymn “Victory in Jesus” has received a rocking cover. This rendition of the classic church hymn is unlike any you have ever heard, and that is for sure. Watch the short but thoroughly enjoyable clip to hear this rocking cover of the hymn “Victory in Jesus.”

Covers are an age-old practice and tradition that likely dates back to the origins of music itself. Seeing as how covers are arguably more popular than ever before, given the continued popularity of America’s Got Talent, American Idol, The Voice, YouTube and the like, it’s safe to say that they are here to stay.

Now, when it comes to covers, most typically think of more modern, secular songs getting the makeover treatment. For the most part, that is correct, and who doesn’t enjoy hearing someone else’s take on a song that everyone knows and loves? Who knows that cover may even end up being better than the original? The odds are that it won’t be the case, but in very rare instances, it has happened.

However, when covers, reimagining and the reworkings of songs are mentioned, hymns are very rarely, if ever, considered. When it comes to hymns, most people perform them as they were first written, never even giving them a second thought. But a clip posted on YouTube is of a young man who has taken “Victory in Jesus” in a completely different direction. He plays it as a rock song, with the very same lyrics that we all know and love, but just with some drums and a very different sound.

This is such a unique take on this hymn that you can’t help but have a smile on your face when you listen to it. Even if it’s not your thing, you still have to appreciate the effort and the fact that he tried something new, not just played it like everyone else ever since the song was first written.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Book of Psalms Back to Songs: Psalm 36 - We Trust Your Love

Psalm 36 begins with a chilling sense of moral revulsion and dread at the depth of human wickedness and arrogance. It then soars into a state of boundless wonder, finding safety in the "fountain of life" and the vast, sky-high reach of God's unfailing love. The "Book of Psalms: Back to Songs" project is a creative endeavor to restore the original spirit of the #psalms - as songs of worship, lament, praise, and reflection-by transforming them back into musical form, as many were written. Drawing from modern translations of the classic biblical texts, this project reimagines the Psalms with fresh musical arrangements that blend timeless messages with modern sounds. Each Psalm is thoughtfully adapted into lyrical and melodic compositions, many using modern tools, to explore harmonies, instrumentation, and genre-blending arrangements. From soulful acoustic ballads and rock/pop hymns to country pieces and R&B-inspired tunes, the project seeks to make the Psalms accessible and resonate with today’s listeners, while staying true to their emotional and spiritual depth. -------- notes: Words updated for song lyrics Style: Retro Funk / Party Pop-Funk #PsalmsProject #ModernWorship #AncientWordsNewSound #ChristianMusic #WorshipMusic #FaithAndArt #ScriptureInSong #PraiseHim #Christian #Jewish #Bible #rock #praise #worship #pop #music #modern #BookofPsalms #christianmusician #scripture #PsalmsBackToSongs #FaithBasedMusic #Songwriter #MusicCreator #OriginalMusic #PsalmsProject #ModernPsalms #ScriptureToSong #ChristianArtist #NewMusic #PopWorship #PrayerMusic #CCM #funk
