Ingredients

  • 1 c peanut butter
  • 6 oz sugar
  • 6 oz powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla

    Directions

    Preheat oven to 350ºF. Mix together all ingredients. If the dough seems too soft, add more powdered sugar a teaspoon at a time until it feels firm enough. 

    Separate dough into a dozen approximately even pieces, roll each piece into a ball, then flatten into a round cookie shape. Peanut butter cookies traditionally have a fork-pressed hashmark formed on top. This is optional, but you can do this it you want to be fancy!

    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, then remove and allow to cool for 30 minutes.
