President Trump was blasted by Democrats last year after he pulled the U.S. from the UN Human Rights Council.

But, the New York Post reports the UN human rights system has just made a move that should vindicate Trump’s move.

The UN announced on Wednesday that Iran had been appointed to its Working Group on Communications on the Status of Women – a group that is supposed to be seeking to support women’s rights around the world.

But, as Guy Benson pointed out on Twitter, that would be the same Iranian regime that on Monday sentenced Nasrin Sotoudeh, a female lawyer and leading campaigner for the rule of law, to 38 years in prison and 148 lashes for defending women who choose to remove their head scarves.
