The California State Assembly is set to vote on a bill that would ban the sale of books -that’s right, ban the sale of books - expressing Christian beliefs about sexual morality.

National Review reports Assembly Bill 2943 would make it an “unlawful business practice” to sell or lease goods or services to any consumer that advertise, offer to engage in, or do engage in “any practices that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation.”

The California law would radically oppose deeply held Christian beliefs about gender dysphoria and sexual behavior.

Despite the obvious constitutional problems, the bill is currently sailing through committee — already passing two votes.

It may come up for an Assembly vote as soon as Thursday.
