The Threefold Cord

Celtic hymn to the Trinity. CCLI 7261498 D G D A May the three fold cord entwine you, D G D A May the three fold fabric tell, D G D A Of the heart that beats to find you, G A G A D To restore you and make you well. C D C D Cord of the Father, cord of the Son, C D G A Cord of the Spirit, Three in One. May the cord of Father hold, Draw you gently to his breast. Not to harm you or to scold you, But to give you perfect rest. May the cord of Christ uphold you, Watching lest you stumbling fall. May the Word of God enfold you, Save you from temptation's call. May the cord of Spirit bind you, Gentle as the cooing dove, Soothing every hurt behind you, Till you know that God is love.

Church Praise Team's Powerful ‘Let Me See Jesus’ Performance

Sometimes a song feels less like music and more like prayer with wings, and that’s what you’ll discover when you watch this church praise team’s powerful ‘Let Me See Jesus’ performance with Kelsi Carlile, who wrote this new song.

Kelsi stepped forward quietly, humbly asking the congregation and listeners everywhere to lean in and listen. And then, as the first chords rose, something holy filled the air. She poured her heart out like an offering, as if the room leaned in to breathe every word.

“I’ve sung so many songs, poured out from the top of my lungs, my heart’s still reaching for something deeper, something more. Give me old, give me new, I just want to sing the truth. Here in these praises, let me see Jesus.”

Isn’t that what we long for? To see Him. To hear Him. To sense His presence in the middle of our ordinary days and heavy nights. As Kelsi sang, the choir and orchestra echoed her words, weaving their voices and instruments together into a tapestry of praise.

“Isn’t He wonderful, Isn’t He glorious, Isn’t He powerful, Isn’t He good to us. Brighter than any sun, greater than any storm. Faithful forevermore, let me see Jesus.”

The way the voices rose and fell, the way the instruments carried the truth, it was as though the prayers we write in journals and whisper in the night were suddenly sung aloud, wrapped in music, and carried heavenward.

“I love this song,” I whispered to myself, and somehow I feel like it is true for all of us. Because in this moment, our deepest longings were set to melody. The chorus rang out, and worship was born in a way that words alone cannot capture.

I can’t help but wonder—will heaven feel like this? A place where no one stands silent because we all can’t help but sing? Where every voice, every heart, every breath joins in unison until the sound shakes the skies with glory? Until angels cry holy and every knee bows at the throne of the One who is worthy of it all?

This music video is more than notes and lyrics—it’s a reminder of what we’re made for. To worship. To see Jesus. To lift our hearts in harmony with one another until all that remains is His presence and His name.

May it bless your day as much as it blessed mine. And maybe, just maybe, pass it on to a friend—because songs like this aren’t meant to be kept quiet.

2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”
