God invites us to walk beside Him despite our failures.

A nation’s flag is an emblem, a symbol of what that nation represents to the world. Some may believe it’s of no regard nowadays, but it tells us in a moment, just by sight, about the nation, its people, and its policies represented.

We all must make a personal decision to accept or reject God’s authority—and that includes those He’s put in authority over us.

Anger can feel impossible to control at times. There are so many things to be angry with in this present world, and it takes a heart of peace to combat them.

Let us trust Him with tomorrow and our future, because the plans He has for us are good, giving us hope and a future.

God desires us to keep his commands and store his word in our hearts, so writing psalms (or sacred poems and hymns) was a God-inspired practice. In fact, in Deuteronomy 31, God instructs Moses to write his words in a song so they will not be forgotten, even by future generations.

We should revere the Lord, as He is more magnificent than we can imagine. Yet, if we treat Him like a thunderstorm, rolling through in power to wreak havoc wherever and whenever He pleases, then we forget that He is a good God.

Knowing how many times I have failed as a mother, I am thankful that, just as our regeneration when the Lord makes us born again, sanctification is a work of the Spirit in our hearts and lives.

Victory doesn’t always look like we think it will.

For Christians, the concept of “perfection” can be tempting, because we’re all striving to learn how to love one another better.

There’s something about walking in the woods that quiets the noise of this fallen world.

Self-control is the last fruit of the Spirit, but it is by far one of the hardest fruits to develop in our lives.

Jesus takes solitude seriously. He spent 40 days alone in the wilderness in prayerful submission to God’s redemption plan.
